Pastor David James Baer
The Rev. Dr. David James Baer has served as pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church since 1994. He is married to Joanne who serves as Immanuel's organist.
He is a native of Rapid City. He earned a Masters of Divinity degree in 1989 and a Doctor of Ministry degree in 2007 both from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Pastor David serves as the dean for the Western Dakotas, Montana and Wyoming Mission District of the North American Lutheran Church. He is also the editor of the "NALC News."
